Malaysia Flood & Weather Update (24 November 2025)
Malaysia is currently facing worsening flood conditions following continuous heavy rainfall across several states. As of the latest update, 11,497 people have been displaced and are housed in temporary relief centres across seven states in Peninsular Malaysia — Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Perak and Pahang.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued multiple alerts, with several northern and east-coast districts placed under the Danger category due to expected continuous torrential rain until 26 November 2025. These areas face a high risk of major flooding, especially in low-lying and riverbank communities. Other states fall under Severe and Alert levels, indicating ongoing heavy rain and the potential for additional flood incidents.
With rising water levels and expanding flood zones, humanitarian needs continue to increase. Iltizam Relief Society is actively responding on the ground, coordinating with authorities to ensure that essential aid reaches affected families quickly and safely. Community support is crucial at this time as thousands struggle to cope with the impact of the monsoon season.
Families are stranded, children are vulnerable, and basic necessities like food, clean water, and medical aid are desperately needed.
