FUN RUN FOR PALESTINE 2025

INTRODUCTION

Iltizam Relief Society, in collaboration with the Community Development Department of MBSA, will organise the “Fun Run For Palestine” in conjunction with Shah Alam Car-Free Day on 11 May 2025.

This event aims to spark solidarity with the people of Palestine while promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle through a fun run. The theme aligns perfectly with the spirit of Shah Alam Car-Free Day, which promotes eco-friendly activities and raises awareness of global issues.

Additionally, the event serves as a fundraising initiative to help ease the burden faced by the Palestinian people.

OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT

• Deliver a message of solidarity and raise public awareness of the Palestinian struggle through both moral and financial support.
• Encourage community participation in humanitarian causes through sports activities.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle while increasing awareness of the benefits of car-free initiatives.
• Foster unity, compassion, and social responsibility among participants.
• Leverage Shah Alam Car-Free Day as a platform for meaningful and healthy activities.

EVENT GOALS

• Raise a minimum of RM20,000 for the Palestine Fund via Iltizam Relief Society.
• Attract at least 4,000 participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Enhance public awareness on the importance of collective support in addressing global humanitarian crises.
• Create interactive spaces where the public can learn more about the Palestinian issue through exhibitions and dedicated booths.

PARTICIPATION FEE STRUCTURE

Each participant will be charged RM40, distributed as follows:

RM35: Running kit (jersey, medal, bib, light refreshments, group insurance)
RM5: Donation to the Palestine Fund

  Auction of personal items from local celebrities to raise additional funds for Palestine.
• Palestine Crisis Exhibition
  An interactive exhibition by Iltizam Relief Society, showcasing Palestinian history, culture, and current issues.

  Exciting prizes including gadgets, shopping vouchers, and exclusive sponsor gifts await lucky participants.
